Let’s be fair tho: Silverhawk didn’t flop or get killed.
As a matter of fact, the 1st round dat Hawk play was the biggest first round in the entire competition so far — the forward dem neva normal. Then, it was Trooper’s turn and Trooper shock everyone and played a better 1st round than Hawk. Him barely edge Hawk — dats how competitive and wicked both sounds were inna the fuss round.
As Walshy said, Trooper flop badly inna the singers round becuz yu couldn’t hear the dubs well and him start race chunes fi try eke out a forward so him can build back. Silverhawk level the singing round straight. There was a clear gulf in class from the artistes to the riddim selections. I know most in the crowd nuh familiar with some of those riddims.
I didn’t recall SIlverhawk playing one 45 throughout the clash — a bare steel. If Silverhawk really want to buss back bigtime they need to take a page out of Killamanjaro/Trooper book: cut some newer artistes on some decent riddims. After Trooper lose the singing round him use this gainst the Hawk and start beat culture.
At this clash Trooper prove dat yu nuh need nuh dead man fi WIN when yu have wicked cultural artistes ALIVE and kicking inna JA. Trooper play some rawse cultural chunes, the man mussi play a Chrisinti dat flatten the dance completely plus Trooper always have him likkle war vibes fi spice up things. Matterhorn, Vegas and the rest of the artistes give the clash to Trooper. (Matterhorn did a cheer fi Trooper ).
Big up Likkle Richie becuz him surprize everybody inna the 1st clash.
this yute is a menace over in VIP but you can tell he’s a real deal clash fan.
