first of all who really says ‘true school hip hop’?  ugh.

i thought the hip-hop backpack intelligentsia died out years ago, I didn’t know it was still thriving.  But that makes sense, who else is buying all this streetwear?  Anyway, y’all need to give Jamaican music it’s due, and as an American when I see the Grime/Bashment videos they remind me much more of dancehall than hip-hop…  the use of riddims and ‘pull up’ and the faster tempo…  also the slang is a lot more ‘shottas’ than ‘new jack city’…
